As I was checking my books and videos out of the library today, I realized the woman checking out next to me was talking to me. She was telling me I should read Stephen King.
I happen to be a huge Stephen King fan, so even though I had no idea where that comment came from we proceeded to have a nice chat about which books we had read and recommended.
As I walked to my car I realized what had provoked her comments. She saw that I was checking out "Defenders of the Unborn," the new book about the anti-abortion movement before Roe v. Wade.
Maybe she wasn't that far off the mark, as far as horror stories go.
